Parental Consent

When you approve your teen's Porchlight account, you confirm and agree that:

  • You are the teen's parent or legal guardian, and you are 18 or older.
  • Your teen is between 13 and 17 years old.
  • You accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy on your teen's behalf and are responsible for their use of Porchlight.
  • You allow your teen to apply for and do jobs posted by verified adults, under our Safety Guidelines.
  • You understand that Porchlight does not employ your teen or supervise jobs, and that you decide which jobs are appropriate for your teen.
  • For teens under 16, you will review and approve each job before your teen can be hired.
  • Your teen's messages are screened automatically, stored, and viewable by you and our safety team.
  • Payments for your teen's work are sent to a payout account in your name, and you are responsible for any taxes owed.
  • You can withdraw consent and close your teen's account at any time by contacting us.
